All Transactions use today's (import) date instead of the transaction date

Issue summary:

I am converting a Credit Card CSV file to QIF.  Everything comes out fine except the date which shows today  (the date when the conversion is done) instead of the day the transaction took place.

Was this resolved. I'm having same problem.  Is it related to the date format used in the original excel file?

I was having this problem, too.  I was using dd/mm/yyyy format.   So, I changed by source data in Excel to m/d/yyyy, and of course then selected mm/dd/yyy in the converter, and now my dates are all loaded.

For this to work, it is necessary that the CSV contains the format specified. I have seen reports for this kind of issue but the CSV contained only Month and Day, the Year was missing. In that case the best thing to do is to open the CSV in Excel and add the Year, so the format matches what you selected

I converted the attached CSV and it worked

Mapped as:

  • Date YYYY/MM/DD
  • Ignore
  • Payee
  • Category
  • Amount
  • Ignore

Thre resulting QIF looks like this
