Issue summary: 

I would like to see some features that make it easier to work with csv's from various sources. For example: Bank, Paypal, Ebay or what ever they may be. This should cut down your support requests if all the user has to do is select the source of their CSV, possibly also include an option to select the software/version they are using to automatically give them the correct format. Mapping of columns in csv files is not intuitive. Another idea that would be extremely useful, Paypal use gross, fee net and balance. Gross combined the debit and credit under one column, could this be programatically mapped to deposit and withdraw as two seperate columns?

Thank you for the great ideas. It would be great if we could do that, but unfortunately there are some limitations: Because this service is free, and we rely on money from donation or ads, we cannot invest a lot of time in development. With regards to the output, we don't have copies of each software, so we cannot tailor the output for that specific software. Generally the format is standard, what people sometimes have issues with is the mapping, and I agree with you, it should be more intuitive, perhaps if we provided pre-defined mappings for the common CSV formats, that would help.
Please note that we have already added an automated mapping that tries to detect some fields automatically, perhaps we need to make that more evident.

why do you answer this query and not mine about the type field not working?

it now seems that it can even begin the process of importing the files? is this a hint to donate funds? please let me know as i like this program but it is not working in some instances!!!!

Update: New functionality added: Default mapping buttons for known sources will show on the second screen

Also the Automap button is there, which is clicked by default
